So I'm wondering... What kind of hard drive can I get for it?
I think that a CFFA would be nice: plugged into an expansion slot, it comes with a CompactFlash card on it and acts like a hard drive. Compatible with Prodos, you can then use Dosmaster to create DOS volumes on it to re-use your old stuff.

Don't know if it's still in production.

   Guillaume.

Yeah, that sound slike a good idea since Profile drives are hard to come by.
Hopefully being on the waiting list for the CFFA will help.
Henry sells a CF adapter. Try http://www.reactivemicro.com/

How would I load some sort of Apple Operating System on that thing?
I mean, I would be hoping to install Appleworks or some sort of software on there. However, I found somebody with a working Profile drive and interface card who is willing to part with it.

I think Michael Mahon's reply covers the details quite well. I would only caution the reliance on the Profile drive. Like all hard drives, it's lifetime is limited. I cannot say whether this drive will fail but they are not new hardware and you should keep this in mind. Should you decide to use the Profile, consider using a CF as a backup system and/or future replacement. They make an exceptional accessory for the II.
