Yes, I am trying to promise my kids that the old computer is better,
but so far I didn't find anything (probably with the exception of Dora
Colouring) that can attract them.

I think a good game can withstand the time, like Carmen series - the
Apple IIGS is better. Old retro games like Galaxian, Pacman and
LodeRunner are still very fun to play compared to current offering.
But Apple IIGS - and maybe Apple II - educational software are often
boring and repetitive (they often falls into the 2 types I mentioned),
and more "teaching" than "fun". McGee is one of the few good and
original one, but even my youngest daughter has stopped playing them
after a few days.

So yes, I am still looking around, hoping to find good games that can
draw them away from Dora and into Apple II.
