Try prepending the BASIC LOAD and SAVE commands with some other
command...easiest one I can think of is PRINT, which is often abbreviated. 
Something like:

?:LOAD

or

?:SAVE

should work.  The first command gets ProDOS out of the loop; subsequent
commands are handled by BASIC instead of ProDOS.
