Fortunately, Orca/C on the IIgs has a directive to support 32-bit ints. You
don't need a 32-bit processor to use it :)

Unfortunately, nobody has written 32-bit libraries for Orca/C to take
advantage of it. Anybody game to compile some new 32-bot libraries and see if
anything else is needed to make it work on the existing IIgs platform?

The idea of 32-bit int's and 24-bit (int *)'s is a little scary - it
would break a lot of existing code

Agreed--the "pun" confusing ints with ptrs has been a plague on C
from the beginning (and also a favorite among system programmers ;-).
