That's not a bad idea Bill. I might have a think about how best to do it though. Right now, the images are hard-coded into the program. If I went the config file way, it would potentially make it possible to make fully customised versions of the game.
What I am thinking of is, within the config file you could specify an image for the startup sequence, and a series of entries listing the image and music files. This would allow complete "mod-packs" that others could develop and "plug-in" of sorts.
Would anyone else want such a setup, or is this overkill? I had never originally planned for this, but it should be easy enough to implement (famous last words I know). I might leave this for version 2.0, as there are people out there probably wanting to get their hands on the source code for version 1.0.
Anyway, comments are welcome. We'll see where we go from there... cheers, Mike --- Synchronet 3.14a-Win32 NewsLink 1.85 A2Central.com - Your total source for Apple II computing.
