Re: Is Syndicomm in business

 To: Vermithraxdraconis
Yes, I'm still in business. Just still very badly behind in getting orders processed. The spring and summer were very complicated for me and orders took a hit in terms of being processed.

I'm finally starting to claw my way out of the backlog a bit -- shipped 15 orders this past week and am hoping to do at least one or two a day this week, then do another blast of as many as I can over the weekend.

Nobody's credit card is charged until the products have been made and put into a box for shipping.

Just in case anyone's interested, here's a touch of what all went wrong with order processing:

1. Burnout. I got really really tired of doing it for a while and took a few weeks off from order processing during the spring. This isn't a good excuse, but there it is.

2. Computer failure. Had a computer choke and had to pull backups.

3. Printer failure. The printer I use to make books, covers, and certain labels died. Had to buy a new one.

4. Disk drive failure. Floppy drive in the Mac SE I use to produce orders quit working; got it fixed at KFest.

5. CD label printing tray disappeared. I print CD labels on an Epson printer, and the tray that you use for printing onto CDs vanished. I think I left it in Kansas City after KFest.

6. Postage printing problems. I print postage to get better rates and free delivery confirmation. The postage printing software decided not to work for a couple of weeks.

7. Bad disks. Ran into an extended run of bad 5.25" disks.

As for unanswered email... well... that's me being afraid to open emails and read messages from people who are rightly pissed off at me. There's no excuse for it, it's just... how I am.

Lots of bizarre stuff happened, one right after another. Frustrating.

Anyway, things seem to be going more smoothly now. However, I still have 30 orders in the pipeline, and am (mostly) doing them from oldest to newest. I will get to everyone, it may just take a little more time.

Sorry about this, everyone. I'm really around though, and I'm not going away. :)

Is Syndicomm still in business? I ordered
a copy of Softdisk Supreme on August 5th of this year. As of 10-10-07 I still
have not received it nor has Syndicomm responded to any of my E-mails. I
understand that the store owner is busy, but two months to fill an order is a
bit much.
Here's some information on the order if someone in the know out there can
help.

Order Number: 119
Date Ordered: Sunday 05 August, 2007
Detailed Invoice:

Products
------------------------------------------------------
1 x Softdisk Supreme (SYND-12) = $45.00
------------------------------------------------------
Sub-Total: $45.00
United States Postal Service (1 x 0.18lbs) (Priority Mail): $5.60
Total: $50.60

I'm going through a phase of Apple ][ nostalgia right now and there's
other things I'd like to order if U knew they'd be shipped.

Thanks all for any help you can give
