I have nothing animated, but the system is noticeably faster at everything. The difference between my original 6.something MHz. TransWarpGS and the ZipGSX at 12.5 MHz is not subtle!

I must stress to folks contemplating an upgrade that pulling a 28-pin DIP socket from a double-sided circuit board isn't something to try at home without the proper gear OR a lot of tech experience. That's why I think Polymorph's approach is generally the safest. That said, be very careful what you use to operate on the OEM DIP socket. Avoid anything that uses a knife or saw and forget about a Dremel cutting wheel. Way, way too easy to slip and cut traces IMHO.

That _perfect_ tool would be one of those heated razorblade modeling cutters I remember from the days of polystyrene model cars.

Polymorph, what did you use to cut these? Can you add some advice on the part of the job? I'd really hate to see anyone slice through one or more of the little traces by an overshooting knife blade. A sharp pair of miniature diagonal cutters might do the trick, though.
