Another thing you might consider is wiring up an old PC/Mac power
supply to use on your old IIgs to see if you can revive it? I've done
something similar for an old //e, and it worked great.
Or if you are not comfortable doing the above, Stephen Buggie used to
sell modified PC power supplies for use with the IIgs. I'm not sure if
he still does, but it couldn't hurt to find out. It would certainly be
a lot cheaper than shipping a whole IIgs system.
Something else to consider.
