Ah, good-o. Thanks.

Would you say that given unknown defaults on this 7710 card, going for
9600 8N1 with no handshaking would be a good place to start? Then just
flick jumpers until something starts to show? (switching off, obviously)

Or would it be best to write a quick routine along the lines of:

10 PR#2
20 PRINT "Testing"
30 PR#0

then run it a few times, altering the comms parameters at the far end?


I really just want to establish whether this card is still in the land
of the living or not.
