Ok, I get it now. "Z" is the command to ask for the file size at the
host. As far as I know, the ADTPro project itself is the only one
that has implemented those protocol extensions at the host end. See:

You should be ok if you use the original ADT client (assuming you only
need to transfer 5-1/4" disks) with the server you've got now:
