Knowing nothing about C or Java, I boldly ask:

What benefits does this bring that might spur on a rash of new softwaredevelopment? I can't imagine it being easier than AppleSoft or moreefficient than Assembly... so are we talking improved functionality, or isit just that more people are familiar with C and Java than the olderlanguages?
