There are 4 or so parties on eBay, specializing in retro gear, that I see
consistently over-pricing their product.

Maybe they're trolling for the new people who don't know the average going
price for various items. <shrug> It doesn't matter, and I don't begrudge them
for trying to get top dollar.

It's the clueless ones that get me. $2000 for a stock //e because it's RARE.

About 10 weeks ago I saw a very complete IIgs at a garage sale here, the person wanted $2,100 for it and was telling people it was Internet ready and ran the last Windows program; Talk about dumb. I checked back at the end of the day and they had reduced the price to $50.00 and were no longer telling the story it would run Windows. I paid $30.00 for it only because I wanted the IIgs Zip and a couple of the cards for the machine that I'll be using when I put the BBS back up; that is if I ever can get back home for more then a couple of days.
