you need to contact your internet provider to find out what the actual
address of your news server is. Its usually something like:
news.yourinternetprovidername.com

comp.sys.apple2 is a news group, not a news server address. Once you
have successfully connected to your news server, you will want to
enter comp.sys.apple2 as one of the groups to subscribe to.
