Hallo Steve, the early so called Rev. 0 board was used until ca. Apple
II A2S1 6000.
It appears that the very first boards were numbered with a 1. before
the board number, so Bob Bishops Apple II has S/N A2S1 0013 and board
No. 1.202, Geoffs Apple II has S/N A2S1 0097 and board number 1.299,
and an Apple II on ebay A2S1 0271 had a board numbered 1.501
Keeping in mind that in the very beginning the Apple II was sold as
loose board only this means that about 200 boards were sold like
this.

At some point before Apple II S/N A2S1 0369 Apple dropped the 1. on
the board number, so A2S1 0369 has a board numbered 623 and my oldest
Apple II A2S1 0722 has a board numbered 993

This numbering of boards was usesd presumably until the end of the
production run of the Rev. 0 main board, around Apple II serial number
A2S1 06000, Apple started to use a date code to indicate when a board
was produced eg. 7850 means 50th week of 1978.
