This would imply that you are being swamped by spurious packets, and
that memory is being filled more than normal as Marinetti tries to deal
with them.

If you overfill memory, all kinds of problems could be triggered. For
instance, if some of your memory was bad, this might only show under
these circumstances.

You say you have 3Mb of memory, but if you have a lot of DAs and CDevs
installed, these may not leave very much memory from that for Marinetti
to handle lots of spurious packets.

Can you give us an idea of how many Inits, DAs and CDevs you have
installed on your system? A test would be to install a boot disk with
the bare minimum system, and Marinetti as the only extra. Then see if
you get the same problem.

If so, then you either need to run a lean system, increase your memory
to the limit, or install a hardware firewall to control things.
