quite frankly,
I must say WHY is it that after 20 years that we need to protect this
vintage copyright stuff. Who is the person who is making bundles off
of this stuff anyway...no one anymore...they all moved on to bigger
and better stuff. We should be happy and embrace that technology
allows us to share among friends. Today is not like yesterday where
you had an apple2 guy who would tell you to go and buy your own
copy...today is about the sharing of information...and today is
thriving...alive and well. That old mentality in the Apple2 world has
got to come to an end!!!!!!! We would get so much more accomplished
if we didn't' think that way. But hey, what do I know....I am just
enjoying the way things are now and completely hated the way the
apple2 world was...and from the looks of it, possibly still is.
Our only source which I will leave unnamed, although many can figure
it out, still uses the pony express to mail out their orders and are
afraid to speak on the phone. Maybe its called phonephobia, or
something like that...not too sure.
So, it would be very interesting to find out how that company has the
ultimate rights to sell and distribute the stuff.
That lag in time, or unorthodox way of doing business in a VERY fast
paced society will shift the market to seek other avenues or sources
for the product that they are seeking. That is the answer to why all
of this ends up freeware BESIDES other reasons not to mention here
right now. The real world works and operates here in 2007---They use
phones, toll free phone numbers, UPS, FED-EX, DHL, USPS, and overnight
shipping. They don't hide in the closet when the phone rings. They
don't act like little sheep!
Assembly lines proved in the industrial revolution that things can be
produced at a rapid and cheaper rate then doing it by hand. In this
fast paced age of technology there is no room for working at a snails
pace as they will be trampled on and other sources will be sought
after. Those snails usually will die off since the masses will
freeware out everything that the screwed up source has to offer...then
no more seller!!! The Wolves will eventually have the upper
hand!...no pun intended!
As for the main point to the thread that was posted before the stupid
bickering over the protecting bullcrap, why don't you folks answer the
questions instead of bickering with each other??? Go out and get some
instead of bickering with each other. You people slow down the
process of evolution of new products for this sick community. It's
time to put the cookie down and grow up!
Sorry to the original poster as I have nothing to add in your pursuit
of your answers. I am just tired of seeing this through many posts
here. People bicker on how they spell things and all sorts of geeky
stupid crap....to the people that like to start crap...GROW UP
ALREADY!!! YOUR ALL ADULTS!!!
