I have monitored the problem for quite a while before I have posted
it .
My IIGS has 3Meg and runs fine.
As I stated the whole mess just happens if I expose the IIGS directly
to the WWW.
As long as I am inside my private net all is fine.

Here are some more details:

I use a cable modem which is hooked to an older linksys wireless
router.
The IIgs is wired to the router.
If I use the DMZ to expose the IIgs directly to the WWW (no firewall)
the problem starts after some minutes .
If Casper runs I get a beep and I crash down to the moinitor with the
registers displayed.
If Safe runs the whole IIGS is just frozen (the mouse will still move
but nothing else)

Even if I have no progrem active other than the operating Sytem the
IIgs will freeze.(I set automatic connection in the TCP/IP control
panel)


I have hoped for getting some replies from guys doing the same and had
no problem.

Who is using the uthernet card and marinetti for doing actual business
within the WWW ?
