???DD floppies are handy to have for 800K drives. Superdrive is covenient because you can use the more available HD floppies.
Try Econ 101...
computernews80 on eBay, actually more TRS-80 related but has stuff that can be used on an Apple2 too, for example floppies. This shop moved to eBay not so long ago and it used to be www.cnpublishing.com, has been around selling TRS-80 stuff since back then.
DSHD disk aren't compatable, they use a different recording structure or something. They work fine in mine.
HD can be used as DD by taping over the right hand hole under the disk. They are slightly different but the difference in coersivity is very small. Coersivity is how much magnetic force you need to apply for something magnetic, for example floppydisk surface, to become "permanently" magnetic. In my experience using HD disks for DD is no worse than using DD disks. They don't go bad by time even. But I would still recommend to use DD disks for DD when you have such. Note that it is different for 5.25" where 1.2MB floppies can't be used for double density.
I scavenge, when I see floppies I look for 5.25" 360K and 3.5" 720K. I usually get them bulk-erased (because it is convenient, not because it is necessary in any way).
I use 3.5" DD floppies mainly for TRS-80 but also Apple2 (I have a superdrive controller and drive for my IIe).
