Brendan,

Making a fatal mistake in a game, and realizing it, are pretty much
simultaeneous. Then, of course, i
sit there for several seconds mentally calling myself everything under the sun.
After that, depending
on the game, I either try again or, in disgust, turn the game off and walk
away.

As to the same sort of thing with apps, I try not to be stupid, but errors
happen. Again, depending on
what I'm doing, turning the computer off and walking away has been know to
happen.

At least it keeps me from wanting to pick up the computer and throw it out the
window.
