Okay, yes, stephane's ide controller, this page:

And I don't know, seems like it works to me, since he says things
like, "I have a functional 170mb harddrive & 6x cdrom working"   Plus
he has software for the OS.
There is another IDE project that never got the software done, that
might be what your thinking of.
And no offense, but the microdrive is way too expensive.  Sure, it
would be nice if I owned some CF cards also.
Thats why I like Stephanes ide project, cheap, and functional.

I'd rather go scsi with an old scsi card, but until I can find one for
cheap, or free, I have to look into other options that are around.

As for the SASI - SCSI, I was hoping to get someone who could confirm
that the SCSI 1 drives work on it.  I read in old posts that some
drives did.  Guess it doesn't matter as I'm going to dig up an old
scsi drive to try it with anyways.


As for the GS-Ramplus, it's Applied Engineering,  I think I got the
company wrong.   Thanks for the info, but does anyone know what the
17x2 connecter is on it's componet side?
And thanks for the info that you do have ram.  I collect up whatever
dip ram I can these days, but I doubt I have enough to fill rest the
card.


And the card with the chip that has the Fourth Dimension stick on it.
It has a 13x2 pins on it, no crystal on it  It also has 7 74LS type
chips on it.  Plus the board is blue pcb.
So I guess it's a parallel card then.  thanks

Part of the problem is i'm a poor person, who's disabled and on a very
very limited income.  I wish I could afford a microdrive, amoungst
numerious other stuff for all my various older systems that I want to
get up and running decently.
But what I can do is do projects others have done by scavaging what I
need.  Does it always work?  No.  But am I learning stuff?  Yep.
