I think that the problem is that appletalk over IP is the protocol
enabled by default in OSX, and the IIgs doesn't understand that. Plain-
old appletalk is what you want, and this has to be explicitly
activated in a non-trivial way, as there's no GUI to do it.

The configuration file that you're after is:

/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleFileServer.plist

You'd better log in as root, and use a property list editor to open
it. Look at the last (boolean) property, named "useAppleTalk", switch
it to YES and save the changes. Then make sure that you have turned on
the AppleTalk protocol in System Preferences/Network, and restart the
file sharing service in System Preferences/Sharing. Let us know if
