I have also noted the recent absence of older computer items from
the local thrift stores.
However, they seem to be going straight to electronics recyclers.
They are deemed "obviously worthless" since you can't surf the web
with them. ;-)
Only a tiny percentage of donated old machines ever find their way
to any "marketplace".
