If it means 'veiled', why on earth do we use it to basically mean
'unveiled'?  Google translates 'voila' from French to English as
'veiled' but www.thefreedictionary.com gives the following definition:
"Used to call attention to or express satisfaction with a thing shown or
accomplished."

If it meant 'veiled' it wouldn't be used to call attention to something
that is shown.  :-)

I may be Canadian but I stopped dealing with French the first year in
school I was no longer required to take it so I'm no expert.  :-)
