I got AppleTalk working with a Palm Mac adaptor on one end and a SSC to
imagewriter cable on the other, with a nullmodem cable in the middle.

I'm using system 6.0.8 on the mac with AppleShare server 2 on it.
The IIgs is using system 5.0.4
I've nearly got it all happening. File sharing works fine.
As for booting via appletalk...
When it boots up it finds the Mac and gets the text chooser.
If I log on as root (Administrator. Yes I gave it the name root) it brings
up the IIgs startup bar. When it reaches the end it drops to prodos 8.
If I log in as IIgs (my user account intended for use for this), or as Guest
I get the startup bar as well. But this time it dies after only a little
way with the startup bar I get the following error:
"Sorry, system error $004E occurred
while loading the start FST file.
RESTART
"
So, yeah. Now I'm getting a little stuck.
I did the network server install without error. My guess is permissions on
the Mac, but I'm not sure.
Tristan.
