I fear you have to stay unhappy - no port for the Apple.

Programmer Steve Hales mentions only his original Atari version
and the C64-port in an interview.

Synapse exploited the hardware capabilities of the Atari (and later
the C64) quite well. That's probably the reason why they made so
few Apple ports of their action games.

I would like to see ports of Fort Apocalypse, Zeppelin, Protector II,
Nautilus and most importantly Survivor but I haven't found anything
on the web. No images, no photos of game packages or manuals,
no reviews or interviews.

The only ports I know of are Drelbs, Picnic Paranoia, Shamus
(all of them without scrolling) and all of their interactive fiction
games ("text adventures"): Breakers, Brimstone, Essex and
Mindwheel (even with 80-column support).
