There are some of the demos out there that can really show what the GS 
can do, from Apple's demo that shipped to dealers up to the FTA stuff.

As for fun, that implies games and that's a subjective thing.  What's 
fun to you may not be fun to me.

OK, I saw from farther on that you figured out your transfer problem and 
do seem to have access to a lot of stuff now.

But, for file copying, yes GS/OS is going to be slow with one drive.  
I'd really recommend trying to track down another 3.5" drive for your GS.

If you're doing full disk copies, then Photonix II would probably be the 
best way to go.
