That's right. My major problems are as follow:
* Not enough RAM to store a disk image in a RAMdisk to write it using
a GS based utility
* My Mac Classic has the ability to write the 800k disks but the only
software I have for doing so is Disk Copy. And I have found no
compatible images.

What are you looking for in disk images? I should be able to make some
that are Disk Copy 4.2 compatible. I have a Quadra 650 I keep around
for dealing with Apple II stuff.

One of the older GS/OS versions of System like 4? which will run in 512k
would be nice.
I need to get at least as far as a working OS that I can use to
experiment with.

OK, I'll see what I have for an older GS/OS sitting around. I think I
may have kept System 5, but might not have kept 4.

I'd appreciate anything you could convert though.

Hmmm... That'd be a lot of stuff... I'll start digging through things
to see what I can find.

I think mostly just any fairly essential utilities.
I have a bigger problem right now with a contaminated disk head anyway, so
no hurry.

What is a substitute for cleaning fluid in disk cleaners? It dried up long
ago. I remember there is something that can be used, just not what.

Denatured ethyl alcohol works well.
