Electrically, the CF is compatible with the ATA standard. Taking a quick
look at the CF specs, PIO modes 0-4 allow up to 18" cable. Higher modes
allow 0.15m (UDMA?) cabling.

I'm not sure what mode the CFFA operates in, but I'd guess it'd be one
of the slower (non-DMA) PIO modes - certainly more than sufficient for
floppy disk emulation speeds.

But you also have to worry about the longer pins on the connector that
bring the card up into TrueIDE mode by default - you may break that with
excessive cable skew!?!

I'm not aware of any suitable cables either.
