Have you verified good voltage from the PS?
You get text... the video circuits are working at least partially
you get garbage... the ROM could be damaged, or RAM could be
damaged... or connections between video circuits and RAM could
be damaged...
Let me send you a laser 128 and use your broken clone for parts.
