Yeah, and the answer to Tristan's original query is rom1, where it
also has code to print the text strings:

AUTO BOOT VER1.1
BY H.SETA JJ1KMA
PRODUCE 1983 JAN BY ORIENT

Does it usually print those, Tristan?
Looks like this puppy is Japanese.
