If it weren't for potential problems with upsetting propagation delays and
timing in general, I'd happily replace all the LS's with HCs. Although it
seems a bit pointless.
It's one of the reasons I was asking about schematics anyway. To do my own
clone utilising more modern standard parts like a single 64k SRAM, a single
ROM etc. Of course that would be in the future

Hopefully it won't come to that. I'm actually more worried about sourcing
the RAM.
