That's really good! We have to deal with the horror of calculating cubic
weight and dealing with real weight and size restrictions on top of that.
Also there are true postoffices and subcontracted ones that charge
different amounts.
Then there's the different types of satchels and boxes that we are and
aren't allowed to post certain items in.
I was considering selling off some of my less-used 8-bitters so that others
can gain some real enjoyment from them (and I gain real enjoyment from
their $$$), but posting is a nightmare.
I hate to think of sending the CPC464 with accessories I have, let alone
something larger like the T1000.
The odd thing however is that I got complete lot of parts for the topend of
my 1800 VW sent via aussie post in two boxes, because its size met the
restrictions. Weight wise I could barely lift it.

And even when it is tracked, things still go missing and nothing can be done
about it :(

My mother is coming to visit from interstate. I asked her to dig out my old
apple ][ to bring with her, because there is no way I could have that
posted.
Semi applying to apple: The USB interface I was working on really needs some
parts. The only reall source I could find was farnell. The only way I can
get them is via courier. Not even standard post. I'm not willing to pay
courier costs for a couple of dollars worth of components with a total size
of an eraser.

Dare I mention my SMP idea? I see no reason why 2x 65816s cannot be used in
a multiprocessing environment. They are designed to be coprocessor friendly
anyway. I know it's a silly idea but I like the thought of a dual processor
apple ][. Time to drag out my concurrent systems textbook from wherever I
packed it.
Wow, I get a Palm, an apple ][, and a mockingboard for my //e. That is what
I call a good week, and a great way to start the new year.
Speaking of which (1 hour premature)...
Happy new year everyone. Let's make 2007 our best year yet!
