I want to put Apple IIe guts in a smaller case. The only way to do it
is cut the motherboard in half. There is a good spot 4.3 inches from
the slot side.
Has anyone ever heard of someone cutting the motherboard in half and
then soldering jumper wires to each half to make it work again? I will
have to make small right angle card adaptors for the 80 col card and
peripheral cards.
I'd really hate to have to make a new motherboard. That would cost
~$500-600 and take 3 weeks. : (
