Because people keep falling for this sort of nonsense, and if nobody warns
them of the purpose of the posts, people will reply and give the troll what
he wants.

It's not merely that he wants a reaction, he wants the reaction in that
alt newsgroup, and a reply will only give him satisfaction if it lands
back in there.
