Re: Bitten by my own "cleverness"
i forgot to mention that i have tried 2 apple 40sc drives to get tape
backups to work...and the little pink wheel inside basically disentigrated
due to age (15 plus yrs prob)
i have a mint one that has never been used..but been too afraid to fire the
beast up yet
i assume someone who fixes/or fixed vcr's could find a replacement little
tape wheel deal y bob and fix this
(beware the apple 40sc tape backups on ebay...the rubber wheels rot just for
your info)
another project i was gonna try
but i expect a person could find something equiv from vcr tape stock or such
and fix such...i have more then a few dc2120 tapes from when i used to
backup my 80s bbs pkgs back in the day
(same prob they have with the moon landing tapes..assuming they find them
again...got the media..but where is the old equip to run the media on..so it
goes)
