Re: AlphaSyntauri - again!

Second; METATRACK has settings for Drum Machine sync and so forth. What
do I need to make use of this - another bit of hardware?

[running to get Syntauri manual...]

Metatrak supports the Roland TR606 and TR808, Linn and Oberheim DMX.
They are connected to the Apple via a special cable to the paddle
ports. Unfortunately the Syntauri manual doesn't give a specific
pinout, but this shouldn't be that hard to figure out....

It presumably doubles the port, since it also relies on Paddles (I NEED PADDLES!) to control vibrato and so forth... but that's useful since the Roland trigger out can be resynched to most standards. Mmmm. Wonder what my Drumtraks uses...

Third: Does anyone have disks of preset masters I can download/get
copies of? I'd love to have more sounds as I'm about to start using the
Syntauri in my recordings, having moved it to the studio.

There's some over at
http://8bitsoundandfury.no-ip.info/hardware.html#alphasyntauri
(getting them on a 5 1/4 disk is the issue). I'll have some too, as
well as some new sounds, as soon as I can get a reliable transfer going.

I have all of those, that's how I have working software - I want a newer Metatrak :)

I download on my Quadra 950, connect via AppleTalk to IIgs, and write using... er... whatever the utility is. Anyway, it works perfectly :)
