I have a ROM01 IIgs whose battery has died (long ago, really). I
snipped it out, soldered in an AA holder, and can plug in two or three
AA batteries. I find that if the batteries are connected, the
composite display dims quite a bit, and the picture flickers a little.
Break the battery circuit, and all is well again. What might be
causing this?
