Yeah. It's a standard joystick, right?
So check the range. Boot to a basic prompt and type:
10 PRINT PDL(0), PDL(1) : GOTO 10
RUN
Adjust the trims so each axis centres around 127.
Hopefully the full range for each will be 0 to 255.
