I'm still kicking around starting to rescan all the APDA books I'm
licensed to resell, but I have a question before I make a final
decision:
I'd like to get some feeling for how many people would want replacement
copies if I offered a 70% discount to people who already bought the
books from me.
If I do rescan the books, I'd gather pristine master copies for as many
as I can, and buy a new, better scanner with auto-duplex scanning to
make the work less tedious.
Before I do that, basically, I'm trying to judge how long it would take
to recoup the expense of the new scanner.
Scanning two-sided originals using a single-sided auto-feed scanner is
tricky because one mistake and the entire document is out of order.
And doing that many pages flatbed would be too much work. :)
