With an Ohm-meter, if the reading goes up and
immediately
drops back to zero, it is shorted, and if it has
no reading
at all it's blown. You should get some resistance
reading if
it is still good and in circuit. Maybe someone
else can give
you a better way to tell. Other than that,
visually a can cap
will have some leakage around it extended onto the
board if
it has exploded.
