Bill,

All Imagewriters are serial. The Apple DMP and SilentType printers thatpreceeded it were parallel.

Bruce, are you sure you didn't get an Apple Scribe? It's a serialinterface thermal transfer printer that was usually bundled with the//c. It's very light weight.

Imagewriters are much heavier.

The man who gave it to me says an uncle bought

it back in

1980-81 so he thinks it was never upgraded. It

is probably

a version zero. Motherboard was never upgraded.


Bruce, probably 1984 - when the IIc was introduced.
