You will *always* be able to supply appropriate power to any computer, even by building one if it comes to that.

* True, if one doesn't mind a supply sitting outside the case, I
suppose.

Power supplies are getting smaller, not bigger.

Of course, you can buy *new* power supplies today (and for many years to come) that can perfectly power any computer you have, and their "clock" just started. ;-)

* But these would not be identical replacements for those in the
computer.

Are we looking for fashion or function?

In fact, it will always be possible to repair a failed power supply,
since there's nothing faintly exotic in them.

Your "survivalist" mentality is quite interesting!

* Hahaha! Good one. :-) Now, I'd better go stock up on .45LC ammo
before they stop making it.

And don't forget to set a tripwire on the cabinet! ;-)

One of the advantages of being older (geez, there *ought* to be one ;-)
is that my systems don't have to outlive the century, they just have
to outlive *me*. ;-)
