I use PC's for grunt work, automated and serving tasks. Windows and 
Linux. Nothing wrong with a PC, IMO as long as precautions are taken to 
secure the box, which you have to do with OS X also. Opening ports willy 
nilly will get you hacked on OS X too.

I figure nothing is safe from the determined hacker, so it's a matter of 
making it profitless or too much hassle.
