Of course you can SAVE programs to partitions on the drive, or
do anything else that you can do to a disk.

Just make sure the PREFIX is set appropriately and SAVE or LOAD
as you wish.

You might want to read some info about ProDOS and how to use
subdirectories, etc.

From your first post, it sounds like the program selector you
are running (probably an Applesoft program) doesn't provide an
obvious way to exit to the BASIC prompt.

If you Ctl-C the program, you will probably break out to the
Applesoft BASIC prompt "]" and can list the selector program.
Then modify it to display an option to exit to BASIC if one
isn't already implemented.

BTW, you *will* want to create a subdirectory for your BASIC
programs, and keep the root directory relatively clean.
