Mine is this PAL, and I'm sure you meant
to type L8. You should look at that again.

That would be the (c)1986 version. They
changed the logic from that to (c)1987.
I'm still studying them to see why.
Neither one works properly in a ROM03,
and I'm also looking at why that is also.
Maybe a jumper wire or 2 will rectify it.
