Hmmm... I may have used that... it was called Expediter ][ and it was
by Einstein...

I also used the Beagle Compiler.  All that stuff is packed somewhere.
I can't remember which did best.

It's been a few years  ;-), but IIRC they all produced similar
speedups on typical (floating-point) Applesoft programs.  The
5x range mentioned earlier sounds about right.

Of course, floating-point computations don't run any faster, but
all the control and indexing is much faster.
