II+ NTSC now working on multinorm TV set

By the way, I've now got a working NTSC color setup with my
back-converted Europlus. A little tunable capacitor in series with the
14.31818 MHz Quartz did the trick. Only, as this is a Rev. 7 machine
with less-then-perfect color killer, I had to decrease the resistor
going from TEXT to the base of Q7 from 4.7k to 1k to get reliable color
shut-off in text mode.

The TV is a 34cm Thomson "luggable" set. The picture is very pleasant
and I can thus recommend this brand for multinorm setups. It even does
SECAM-France should the need ever arise.

By the way, is it normal that you have to turn the saturation knob way
down for the Apple colors to be anything less than totally garish? On
PAL I never had to do this.
