Yup.
Although the transition was not completely overnight.
The original 1998 Bondi colored iMac (233MHz) with built in CRT
display/USB had a single colored Apple logo on it....bondi blue in color
if I remember correctly, on the top of the case.
My 1998 PowerBook G3 Wallstreet has a single large white Apple logo on the
the outside of the case (both top and bottom sides of the case), although
it still has the familiar small 6 color Apple logo beneath the LCD
display.
I can't remember if the PowerBook Lombard (the USB equipped replacement
for the Wallstreet) still had the multicolored logo, but I know the
PowerBook Pismo from 2000 had no colored logo anymore.
Also, the platinum grey (a.k.a beige) G3 desktops and minitowers and AIO
(all in one) still had the multicolored logo, but the Blue & White G3
tower did away with the multicolored logo.
