It is pretty easy if you have the SSC and a suitable pc. I managed 
although I was a complete novice then 1.5 years ago (The apple2 stuff I 
knew from before was how to play some games - on my friends computer, 
that I envied him then).

One needs to get the cable right and from there its pretty 
self-explanatory...
