I made some progress in my boot server project but still get it not to work.
Here is the story:
Thanks to Bill and Kirk I found Apple Share v3.
I installed it and my first problem appeared.
The Apple II Setup disk was not recognized.
I tried to reinitialize the disk over and over but the Setup tells me
that the disk has the right name but the software on it is wrong.
Bummer, what to he... does this mean?
Any suggestions?
Anyhow I proceeded and the server comes up.
I set the IIGS to Apple Talk boot.
Amazingly this works fine, the IIgs contacts the Mac Se and asks for a
login.
Just then the IIgs stops with an error that he can not find the GS/OS
Next question.
I have the AS install for the APPLE ii boot, can I manually place the
contents on the Se? Where? I placed it for test purposes just in the
System folder but this hasn't worked.
Hope one of you guys can help me to go on in this project.
It looks I am almost there.
Thanks,
Wolfgang
